POLITICS: Campaign Updates The CBS News / National Journal Republican presidential debate was held on Saturday. The debate focused greatly on foreign policy and was formatted quite differently from previous debates. Many views have complained because the debate was aired for 1 hour in most parts of the country, later viewers were asked to continue watching on-line for remaining 30 minutes. That proved to be a failure because of a choppy feed. Various candidates have also complained, including Michelle Bachmann and Ron Paul, because of unequal amounts of air time. Ron Paul appeared to receive the most bias as he was only asked 1 question and had 1 follow-up during the televised portion of the debate.
