BUSINESS: MF Global Fires All Workers After declaring bankruptcy and the resignation of Jon Corzine, MF Global fired 1,066 employees on Friday. Employees were furious, many of whom worked with the company for more than a decade, none of whom received a severance package. MF Global filed for bankruptcy after Jon Corzine's bets on risky European bonds failed. Jon Corzine is a former Governor of New Jersey, who lost in a re-election to Governor Chris Cristie. He stated it was not for political reasons, but instead because he needs more time to improve living conditions in Russia.
