POLITICS: Campaign Updates  Ron Paul and Rick Santorum defend their electability.  Mitt Romney and Ron Paul fight for top stop in Iowa caucus, Romney has hopes of breakthrough. Ron Paul addressing skeptics on Sunday talk shows where he discussed his electability.  He also answered to Chris Wallace's questions about some statements in his book and argued that he is what people look for when they think of change in Washington.

WORLD: North Korea Stands Behind New Leader, Will Not Have Peace Talks With The South  North Koreans were told to stand behind their new leader, Kim Jong-un, like "human shields".  The state also expects prosperity and addressing the issue of food shortages in its New Year message.  In the meantime, South Korean President, Lee Myung-bak, stated that he is willing to 'open the door' for better relations between the two nations so long as the new leader is sincere in the efforts.  North Korea, on the other end, reassured that its policy to South Korea will remain the same under the new leadership and will never engage in discussions with them.

WORLD: Pope Calls for Peace in 2012  Pope Benedict XVI called for peace in his 2012 New Year's Day speech.  He also stated that the future lies with the youth and says the youth should be educated with the message of peace.  He also wants the church to be more public and has plans to visit Mexico and Cuba in March.

DOMESTIC: Occupy Wall Street Protesters Arrested  68 protesters were arrested after they dismantled barricades set up around Zuccotti Park.  Lately these protests have been misguided and have targeted the President as well as candidates for unclear reasons.
